Sorena Sattari, born 1972 in Tehran, is currently the Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology and President of the National Elites Foundation.
Sattari has also been the former president of Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI), head of Nanotechnology Division of RIPI, head of Energy department of International Institute of Energy, and director of the Iranian Fuel Conservation Organization.
He was also the Member of the supreme council of cultural revolution, Secretary of board of trustees of innovation and flourishing fund, Member of management board of innovation and flourishing fund, President of the board of trustees of Pardis technology park affiliated to scientific and technological department of presidential office, President of the board of trustees of the fund for supporting Iranian researchers and technologists, President of the board of trustees of defensive industries’ training and research institution, President of oil industry’s research center, Managing-director of organization of optimization of fuel consumption in Iran, President of nanotechnology department of oil industry’s research center, Head of energy group of the international institution of energy studies.
Sattari received both his M.Sc. and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, where he eventually became a faculty member. He has got two nationally and internationally validated patents and has authored 14 books and several scientific papers published in national and international scientific journals.
